Forfar Community Council and Licensed Trade Action Group

Be A Considerate Citizen; 'Noise Annoys!' Campaign.

details address

Forfar Community Council are working with the local licensed trade to deliver a campaign that will reduce 'noise nuisance' in the town centre. With the support of Eileen McArthur they have launched a campaign that encourages customers and patrons to leave premises quietly.

The campaign is called 'Noise Annoys' and encourages people to; get a taxi home safely, say goodbyes quietly and avoid shutting and slamming car doors. The campaign message also includes a reminder about it being an offence to sound car horns when stationary between the hours of 11.30pm at night and 7am in the morning.

The Forfar Community Council and the taxi operators in Forfar and Kirriemuir launched the campaign in September this year with the help of the local licensed trade, Tayside Police and Cllr Glennis Middleton.
